Who we are

Custom Parts Co. provides CAD design, prototyping and custom 3D printing services from Malta. For questions about this notice or your personal data, contact info@custompartsco.com.

Information we collect

When you request a quotation, we may collect your name, company name, email address, phone number, service requirements, project description, quantity and material preferences.

If you choose to upload project files, we may also receive CAD files, drawings, photographs, PDFs and other reference material you provide. Limited technical information such as an IP address may be processed temporarily for security, abuse prevention and rate limiting.

Why we use this information

We use quotation information to review your requirements, prepare or discuss a quotation, communicate with you and take steps you request before entering into a business relationship.

We also process limited technical data where reasonably necessary to protect the website, prevent spam and abuse, and maintain the security of customer information. Where applicable, information may also be retained to comply with legal, tax or accounting obligations.

Project files and storage

Files submitted through the quotation form are uploaded directly to a private Cloudflare R2 storage bucket. Public bucket access is disabled. Quote-notification emails contain time-limited secure download links rather than public file URLs.

Quotation files are retained for up to 90 days and are then automatically deleted from quotation storage. If a quotation becomes an active job, relevant files may be copied into the business records needed to manufacture, deliver or support that job and may therefore be retained for longer.

Service providers

We use service providers to operate the website and process quotation requests. These currently include Cloudflare for security and private file storage, Resend for transactional quote notifications, and Microsoft 365 for business email and correspondence.

These providers process information only as required to provide the relevant services and are subject to their own security, privacy and contractual safeguards.

How long we keep information

Uploaded quotation files are automatically removed from quotation storage after 90 days. Quote emails and related correspondence are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to deal with the enquiry, manage any resulting business relationship, resolve disputes, or meet applicable legal and record-keeping requirements.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights under EU data-protection law to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal data, and to object to certain processing.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect quotation information, including private object storage, expiring signed links, server-side validation, rate limiting and automated bot protection. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

We may update this notice when our website, services or data-handling practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with its updated date.
